Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Jobboarder (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Information you provide. Account details such as your name, work email, password, billing address, and the content of any forms or messages you send us. If you publish a job board, we also store the content of your board (listings, branding, pages, subscriber lists).
- Information collected automatically. Server logs (IP address, user agent, request paths, timestamps), product usage events, and basic device information so we can operate and improve the Service.
- Information from third parties. Payment confirmations from our payment processor, and authentication metadata if you sign in via a third-party identity provider.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Create and manage your account, process payments, and provide customer support.
- Send transactional messages (receipts, security alerts, important product changes) and, where you have opted in, occasional product updates.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers who help us run the Service (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, error tracking). These providers may only process information under our instructions and are bound by confidentiality.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- Legal reasons. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, protect our rights, or protect the safety of users.
- With your consent, including when you choose to integrate or share data with a third-party service.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies.
Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. After cancellation, we keep limited records as needed to comply with legal, accounting, or security obligations, then delete or anonymise the remainder within a reasonable period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights from your account settings, or by contacting us at [email protected].
International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the Service from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data protection rules than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms.
Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to notify affected users promptly if a material breach occurs.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice in the Service before the change takes effect.
